Brand and Communications – Associate

As an associate in Think City’s Brands and Communications team, you will be responsible in supporting the brand consultation and communication support for the organisation. To help service the wide number of flagships and practice within the organisation, locally and internationally, you must be passionate about cities and ready to learn more about Think City’s services for clients, stakeholders and partners, and its projects. The candidate is also expected to be active and needs to show initiative in developing new ideas or solutions to meet the organisations communications needs.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that the  external branding and communications strategy including digital is executed to plan and contributes positively  towards the organisation
  • Manage the Corporate Communications  programme, media relationships, and media events
  • Ensure identified actions from the Flagship Programmes are implemented, marketed and  communicated to key stakeholders
  • Support communications throughout the organisation
  • Create new collateral (based on templates) when requested, or update existing collateral, online and offline, with current brand information and most up to date and approved relevant images
  • Distribute promotional material, offers, press releases, brochures or other material
  • Manage and update media contacts database including maintaining lists, list cleaning, list auditing, and mail merge
  • Maintain and update media coverage, value and analysis
  • Assist in monitoring, implementing and executing the active presence of the brand on all Social Media tools to maximize the online exposure of the brand
  • Support in handling customer service for social media platforms, i.e. timely responses, forwarding of requests to concerned departments, etc
  • Maintain and update the organisation’s database
  • Assist in creating organisation’ regular e-newsletters
  • Follow up on quotes, invoices, payments, and raise purchase requests and purchase orders, and be knowledgeable about organisation’s SOP
  • Maintain contracts of any third party such as creative or digital agencies, suppliers, etc., as well as monitor for expiry and/or renewal deadlines
  • Facilitate structured storage and archiving of all marketing related files, artwork, images and video in collaboration with the team for easy reference and use
  • Assist in preparation, then collate and update monthly and quarterly report

 

Minimum qualifications

  • Minimum a degree in Communications or Marketing or any other relevant field

 

Minimum years of experience

  • Minimum 1-3 years of working experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

 

Competencies & Experience

  • Operational experience or related service industry background
  • Experience in a digital marketing or public relations agency
  • Understanding of marketing and brands
  • Strong attention to detail and the production of high quality work
  • Strong communicator across a variety of platforms and on all levels
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong command of English and Bahasa Melayu in both
  • Dynamic and confident individual
  • Demonstrates energy and enthusiasm
  • Excellent time management and prioritising capabilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Working as a team player in a multi-cultural high performance team
  • Personal drive to succeed and achieve
  • Have a strong eye for design and creativity
  • Video editing and graphic design skills are an advantage
  • Experience in organising and managing events (both live and digital events) is an advantage

 

Technical Knowledge

  • MS Office
  • Canva or any other online graphic or video editing software
  • Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Premiere Pro as an added advantage
