Job Description
Think City’s Culture-Based Economic Development programme aims to build an interconnected network of cultural assets within and between cities, which aims to preserve and leverage heritage as a catalyst for local socio-economic development. We focus on conservation, adaptive reuse and museology. This includes preparing dilapidation surveys, strategic master plans, and conceptual design as the basis of reference for interventions, restoration, adapted space use, and curation of museums—increasing the value of heritage assets and connecting heritage building owners to new businesses so that these buildings have new relevance in modern life.
As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible in conceptualizing and ideation, producing drawings, project management and stakeholder management. You will get opportunities to be exposed to rich cultural heritage and work closely with our local and international experts, partners, and local community.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading to produce drawings and renderings
- Leading to manage and supervise / monitor physical works on the ground
- Leading to ideate and business development by preparing proposals and pitch decks
- Supporting to managing key stakeholders/clients and liaising with government authorities
- Supporting to reporting periodically by synthesizing findings, outcomes and recommendations to relevant stakeholders/clients via written reports and presentations
- Conducting site visits and assessments and engaging local community
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Architecture, specialising in heritage conservation
Minimum years of experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience
Kind of Experience:
- Exposure or keen interest in cultural heritage and development
- Experience in managing pls
- Strong local/and international networks and ability to build new networks
- Verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
