We offer a selective internship programme to recruit and develop talented individuals who have an interest in using their skills to assist Think City in its city making initiatives.

Applicants to the programme will be evaluated based on their academic background and qualification, co-curriculum involvement, research interest and suitability to Think City’s ongoing programmes. He or she must be currently registered, pursuing or have completed a bachelor (or higher) degree from a recognized University.

An intern would be expected to serve for a minimum of ONE month and a maximum of SIX months, and is eligible to an allowance. All interns are expected to give a presentation and submit a report on his/her findings at the end of his/her stay. Internship opportunities are available in George Town, Butterworth, Kuala Lumpur, and Johor Bahru.

1) Architecture / urban design students keen on making their cities better for all. Skills required but not limited to:

  • Autodesk Autocad
  • Google Sketchup
  • Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / Indesign

2) Communication students keen on being involved in creating and building an urban regeneration movement. Skills needed:

  • Strong mastery of English
  • Basic Photoshop skills preferred

3) University students interested in museum and heritage-related projects. Preferred skills include:

  • Trained or interested in arts, culture and heritage
  • Basic proficiency in graphic design (Adobe Illustrator)
  • Good command of English
