The Klang City Rejuvenation (KCR) team which comprises the Klang Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Klang Indian Chambers of Commerce, Malay Chambers of Commerce State of Selangor and Think City, in partnership with Majlis Perbandaran Klang (MPK) are undertaking a Baseline Community Survey of Klang. This baseline study will help the team to understand the business, social and cultural activities in Klang town, and create a strategy that will help revitalise the city.
The Klang baseline study is carried out to enable the team to collect, collate, map, analyse, monitor change, measure impact of interventions and initiatives, and have a better understanding of the current socio-economic situation, and the spatial structure of Klang town. The focus areas are mainly within the financial and heritage districts that flank the Klang River.
This survey involves the collection of basic information from businesses, households, government organisations, non-for-profits and education institutions and seeks the community’s views on how the area can be improved.
The survey began on 26th February 2017 and will conclude on 31st March 2017.
