Brickfields Discovery Walk

THIS KUL CITY is a multi-dimensional program that comprises elements of cultural mapping, youth engagement and historical documentation run by Badan Warisan Malaysia, from April 2015 to March 2016.

Activities under the program include discovery walks at selected locations in Kuala Lumpur that have significant historical and heritage value to the city, a series of lectures and talks by prominent historians, academics and personalities about Kuala Lumpur’s past present and future, a storytelling event showcasing some of Kuala Lumpur’s more notorious crime and murder cases, and a photo competition.

  • Kaki Jelajah Warisan (interpretation of Yap Ah Loy through vivid illustations)
  • Santa Kumari (great grand daughter of Thamboosamy Pillai relived his presence though photos, memories and experiences)
  • Faisal Abdul Rahman (insight into the three sultans whose exploits, actions and efforts paved modern Kuala Lumpur)
