The Star Online, 6 July
THINK City has activated both its Creative KL Grants Programme and Creative KL Urban Challenge with Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), as part of rejuvenation efforts for the city. The two initiatives are in line with the government’s commitment to fostering liveable, resilient and sustainable cities that prioritise the well-being and quality of life for Malaysians as highlighted in Budget 2023.
Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Kamarulzaman Mat Salleh said the initiatives “provide an opportunity for different levels of society to play an active role in rejuvenating downtown Kuala Lumpur as a creative and cultural district”.
The effort is part of the third memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between DBKL and Think City in a collaboration towards strengthening the city as a creative destination and improving liveability as well as space activation, among others.
